Though not quite as immediate as the prior release Threading The Ether, the latest work of the extraordinary Steve Chesne under the moniker The Luminous World Orchestra proves once again what a compelling composer and arranger Chesne is. Moments from the Life Stories of Strangers Pt. 1 continues the successful streak that began with the impressive debut Deva.

While the use of the fascinating ethereal choral arrangements from the prior album is not quite as prominent, the vast array of music sounds from Native American flutes, Chinese gongs and Celtic whistles to the soothing classical string arrangements of an orchestra and acoustic guitar are completely intact. Thus, Moments from the Life Stories of Strangers Pt. 1 continues to latch on to the key ingredients of the musical DNA of the Luminous World Orchestra aka LWO.

Recording and creating music for television and music for over 20 years, the Luminous World Orchestra allows Steve Chesne to have the complete freedom in creating his own unique musical canvas. Thus from the mouthful album title to the east meets west unusual artwork to the potpourri musical landscape, The Luminous World Orchestra continues to shimmer and shine in its originality and creativity.
