“Tales” is the title track from the fourth album in pianist/composer Carl Liungman’s tetralogy that includes Born (2020), Shine (2022), and Change (2024). The piece begins with a poignant series of rolling broken chords and a simple melody. Several themes and emotions are woven together throughout this very expressive piece - some very wistful and gentle and some more turbulent - telling a vivid story of a life well-lived.
