“Everything Beyond This Moment” is the latest single from Drifting In Silence (Derrick Stembridge). I have to admit that this is my first experience with this artist although he has been creating ambient music for about twenty years! Quoting Derrick about this single: “It's pure solo piano, with no AI used. A few notes circle over a single sustained tone, coming back each time from a slightly different angle until the last turn opens.” The piano “melody” evolves slowly and organically while the ambient tones create a slightly otherworldly feeling that is very peaceful and never at all threatening or scary! This is music to get very pleasantly lost in and is very effective on “repeat.” I’d love to see how it was created and look forward to discovering more music from Drifting In Silence!

In addition to the recording, there is a fascinating YouTube video for “Everything Beyond This Moment,” so be sure to check it out! The single is available to stream and download on Bandcamp, Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes as well as on many streaming services including Spotify and Pandora. Great stuff!!!
