Review by Kathy Parsons
Edmond Paul Nicodemi's newest single is a solo piano arrangement of the slow movement of J.S. Bach's "Concerto No. 3 in D Minor After Marcello, BWV 974: II. Adagio." I was familiar with the music, but did a little digging around to discover that Bach arranged this piece for harpsichord from an Oboe Concerto by Alessandro Marcello (1673-1747) - hence the long title! It is apparently a piece that Nicodemi has always wanted to record, and now he has! Slow and stately, the minor key of the composition gives it a feeling of poignance and reflection. It's a beautiful piece beautifully performed!

"Concerto No. 3 in D Minor After Marcello, BWV 974: II. Adagio" is available to stream or download on Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes as well as on many of the streaming platforms including Spotify.
