Review by Kathy Parsons
"Ultraglide" is the first solo piano single from Goat (aka Andy Rosen). A longtime performer and recording artist with major-label successes and tours all over the country, Goat recently decided to release a series of piano-only singles. Based in New York, Goat has been composing and performing for as long as he can remember and is probably best-known for his hit song, "Great Life," which was featured in the 1997 movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer. The soundtrack for that film spent eighteen weeks at #1 on the album charts.

"Ultraguide" is very slow, open and a little bit dark with open space between many of the notes and chords. For me, it creates a mood of quiet reflection and deep thought that is neither rushed or stressful - a 3 1/2 minute break from the noise and intensity of the world. There is no fancy finger-work in this beautifully soothing piece, but the emotion it expresses is far more moving than a flurry of notes. I can't wait to hear what else Goat has in store for us!

"Ultraglide" is available to stream or download from Amazon and Apple Music/ iTunes and to stream from sites like Spotify and YouTube. Check it out!
