“Tribute” is a gorgeous and very heartfelt solo piano single by Greg Maroney that is dedicated to a close friend who passed away suddenly at the age of 52, leaving behind a wife and two children. This friend was also a generous supporter of Greg’s music, so it is especially fitting that a special piece has been composed in his honor. I like Maroney’s own description of the piece: “The song is not particularly mournful, rather more celebratory for his productive life, and sad that he left this earth.”


Greg Maroney’s recent music has been a combination of composed music and improvisations, and this piece is one that he composed.
