Review by Kathy Parsons
"Over the Rainbow" is James Michael Stevens' heartfelt solo piano arrangement of Harold Arlen's beloved song from The Wizard of Oz. Dreamy and overflowing with longing, Stevens beautifully expresses the mood and meaning of the song at the piano keyboard without needing any of the lyrics. In these troubled times, the hope expressed in this music is something we could all use more of, making it very timely as well as a great arrangement of the song.

Sheet music for James Michael Stevens' arrangement of "Over the Rainbow" is also available. Somewhat more complex and a bit longer than most of his original piano solos, I would put this piece at an upper-intermediate to early-advanced playing level. It isn't difficult, and would be a great teaching piece for working on expression as well as a wonderful recital piece. The sheet music is four pages and in the key of C. Chord symbols are included.

The single is available to download and/or stream from Amazon, Apple/iTunes and Spotify as well as other sites. The sheet music is available from SheetMusicPlus.com. I highly recommend both!
