"The Santa Shuffle" is a new version of the jazzy, upbeat track from pianist/composer John Paris' 2016 album, Christmas Past and Present. This time, Mark Kaye, a performer, producer and arranger from the San Francisco Bay area, provides the vocals (he also mixed and mastered the single) and Paris did all of the instrumental parts. The original recording was piano and vocals, and this time it has more of a big band sound that includes Hammond organ, horns, bass, drums and percussion. Lively and full of fun, this is a song that will brighten the holidays for "kids" of all ages - especially the really big kids (wink wink!) who appreciate jazz. This new version of "The Santa Shuffle" also appears on John Paris' 2021 The Best of Christmas album, which will be released on December 3, 2021. (Review coming soon!)
