Review by Kathy Parsons
"Pythagorean Wilderness" is the tenth ambient piece in a series of eleven from Niclas Tamas' The Lullabies for explorers of the permanent extension of life beyond Earth. Passionate about computers as well as music, Tamas has created this electronic music series solely with Spitfire Audio's free LABS series. He describes the Lullabies as:

"Translunar humans traveling on vessels in deep space. The human mind is so advanced that it has lost its ability to fall into a reverie. Instead, mysterious yet beautiful never-ending lullabies plays. No one knows where they came from or who composed them. But they are there, a constant reminder of the unknown."

Dark and mysterious, but also expressing hope, this intriguing piece does create feelings of exploring the unknown. The instrumental sounds give the piece weight and a somber atmosphere while the more human-sounding voices give it a lift and let the light in. It's a fascinating piece, and I look forward to hearing the full album.

"Pythagorean Wilderness" is available digitally from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud. Check it out!
