It’s no secret that even though I review a lot of contemporary classical, new age and classical music, I absolutely love piano blues! Peter Calandra’s new single, “Sunday Blues,” has me sitting here, grooving in my chair - solo piano blues at its best! The music feels very laid-back and at ease, but Peter’s fingers really fly around the piano keyboard, always landing exactly where they should. The piece expresses the relaxed calm of a Sunday morning along with a feeling of playfulness and fun - a feel-good kind of blues that I love! Peter is a master of many music genres and is the most-reviewed artist on MainlyPiano.com, so if you aren’t (yet) familiar with his music, this is a great place to start!
