"Ballerina" is a beautiful single by Stephen Peppos that is available in two versions. The first is piano and strings (mostly cello), and the second is strings only. Stephen recorded the piece with distant mics in a cathedral in England, giving it a feeling of spaciousness. It's a different piano style for Stephen who says he was trying to bring some earlier days of piano composing closer to the front and center. For me, the piano and strings together convey a stronger feeling of movement and grace while the strings-only version is mostly cello and lower-range strings and is more pensive and meditative - both are certainly worth checking out!
