Afterwords: Solo Piano Bonus Tracks is a selection of seven solo piano tracks from Tobin Mueller’s two-disc spoken-word album, Afterwords, with his voice edited out. This is only a portion of the music from the original album, and although it will probably be categorized as jazz, it is beyond a single classification or genre. Sometimes very smooth and meditative, it also has “big” and edgy passages. Always original and one-of-a-kind, Tobin Mueller is an artist through and through, and this short album is a great introduction to his music if you are not familiar with it or an alternative if you don’t appreciate spoken-word combined with piano. Or you can combine the three discs for a truly outstanding listening experience!
