Christine Brown's Reminiscent songbook is the companion sheet music collection to her 2022 solo piano album by the same name. The album was nominated for the 2022 Whisperings Solo Piano Radio Album of the Year Award (one of four nominees), so this songbook is a must-have for pianistic fans of Christine's beautiful music. As usual, the music is elegant, graceful and expressive with evocative titles that include "Dance With Me," "Wind on the Water," "Amidst a Dream" and "Moonrise" (All ten pieces from the album are included, and I mention these as examples of how even the titles suggest feelings and images.).

The score for each piece is beautifully notated and easy-to-read with great spacing, plenty of dynamics and expression indicators, and metronome settings at the beginning of each piece, making the music suitable for piano students as well as pianists playing for their own enjoyment. I wouldn't call any of the pieces simple, but none of them are overly difficult, either. For the most part, I would say that pianists at an upper-intermediate to early-advanced playing level will be able to master these pieces with little trouble.
