The Somewhere There's A Time songbook is the companion sheet music book for James Michael Stevens' 2023 solo piano album by the same name. All ten pieces from the album are included and were notated by the composer before recording the music. He then read the scores during the recording sessions to ensure that the sheet music is as accurate to the recordings as is possible. With more than 7200 items listed on SheetMusicPlus.com, Dr. Stevens is one of the most prolific composers ever and also composes for choirs, bands, organ, and various combinations of instruments and voices. He is also the Dean of the School of Music at Welch College in Gallatin, TN - a very busy artist, indeed!

As is true of most of James Michael Stevens' piano music, the pieces in this collection are relatively easy and are played at a relaxed tempo, so most pianists at an intermediate level should have little trouble mastering the music. All of the pieces are three pages long, well-spaced, and easy to read. More advanced pianists should be able to sight-read most of these pieces easily, making them a pleasure to just pick up and play satisfactorily without a lot of practice. Inspired by romance, the beauty of nature, and feelings of peace and well-being, James Michael Stevens' music is a pleasure to play as well as to listen to!
