Review by Kathy Parsons
Peace Revolution is the companion songbook to Louis Landon’s 2008 solo piano CD by the same name. Transcribed note for note by Rebecca Oswald, the notation is clean, clear, and roomy enough for easy reading. Louis Landon is an exceptional pianist with a strong jazz background (in addition to his classical training), so some of these pieces are fairly advanced - especially some of the rhythms and timing. Landon also improvises quite a bit, and those kinds of passages are not always easy to sight-read. If you enjoy the Peace Revolution CD and are a competent pianist, you should really enjoy this book. Rebecca Oswald always does an outstanding job of transcribing from the recordings to sheet music, and this book is no exception. It is also important to note that these books are spiral bound and open flat on the piano - thank you, Louis!!! Peace Revolution and Louis Landon’s other sheet music are available in print or as downloads from Landon’s site: louislandon.com.  Recommended!
