The Everlasting Light is the companion solo piano songbook for Lynn Tredeau's 2023 album by the same name. The only difference in the content is that there are twelve songs on the album and eleven in the book. "Silver Bells" was not included in the songbooks themselves, but is included as a complementary PDF download when either the printed books or downloads are purchased. Lynn Tredeau's arrangements are smooth, graceful and mostly on the slow side, so they are very relaxing to play as well as to listen to. A longtime piano teacher herself, Lynn arranged Christmas music for her students every year, and her arrangements would make excellent teaching material - especially for recitals - as well as very enjoyable music for pianists from intermediate to early-advanced playing levels to play for their own pleasure, for get-togethers, church, etc.

The printed books are spiral-bound and printed on a bright white, medium-weight paper stock. The print is fairly large, well-spaced and very easy to read. Expression and dynamics are well-marked and phrasing and metronome settings are included. There are some timing issues on the left hand in "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," but otherwise, the pieces are very well-notated and the music is rewarding to play.
