“Dada” is the absolutely charming sheet music for Matt Johnson’s 2026 single by the same name. Composed in 1991 to celebrate his son’s first word, Matt used the melodic notes “D-A-D-A” to create the piece. Lively and light-hearted, the sheet music is available in several different formats: solo piano, piano duet, piano trio, and ensemble with open instrumentation for C, Bb and Eb instruments. The sheet music also includes markings for optional “Groovy Foot Taps/Stomps,” fingering, and phrasing. The piece is in the key of D major (2 sharps). The score is five roomy pages (2 measures per line) plus the illustrated cover, and is very well-suited for both teaching and for personal enjoyment.
