The Little Things songbook is the companion sheet music collection for Michele McLaughlin’s 2026 album by the same name. The fourteen original compositions are included in the songbook, but, due to licensing restrictions, Michele’s arrangement of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” is not. It can, however, be downloaded separately on Michele’s website. The songbook was transcribed by John Zechiel and proof-read by me, and I can guarantee that the sheet music is as close a match to the recordings as is possible. The printed songbooks are spiral-bound for easier page turns and the books and individual pieces can also be downloaded from Michele’s website as PDF files.

Most of the fourteen pieces in the songbook are fairly easy, and it is expressive playing that will really bring the music to life. Most pieces are in easy key signatures with either no sharps or flats or just one or the other - two pieces are in Gb major, which has six flats. I would put all of the pieces at an intermediate to upper-intermediate playing level. There are very few chords and no reaches of more than an octave. The pieces are expressive and fun to play, and I would recommend them to advancing piano students of all ages. All of the pieces have pedaling suggestions, metronome settings, and the playing styles are in English (rather than Italian).
