Review by Kathy Parsons
"Dance All Over the Map" is the first single by singer/songwriter Carol Nicodemi, and what a bright and lively children's song it is! The lyrics are about a child who is having trouble concentrating in class because his/her imagination is taking him/her all over the world, dancing to the music and rhythms that are bursting from within his/her own head. Carol performs the vocals on this charming song and her husband, Edmond Paul Nicodemi, plays flute, guitar and bass; there is also a percussionist adding a joyful beat. "My feet gotta move, my hands gotta clap, my fingers keep snappin', my toes wanna tap - gonna dance all over the map." There is also a really cute animated video that goes with the song, and I'm sure there are plenty of kids of all ages who can relate. (Link to the left of this review.)

Carol has released several collaborative albums with her husband, Ed, and also released a solo album in 2012 called It Goes This Way. She has been working on a series of singles of original children's songs and the two she has released so far are utterly charming!

"Dance All Over the Map" is available from Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music and streaming sites such as Spotify. It's a real day-brightener!
