"Lonely Afternoon" is a beautifully poignant piano and cello duet by Edmond Paul Nicodemi, an artist I've been reviewing for almost twenty years - and he just keeps getting better! In music, it often seems that the deepest emotions are expressed the most clearly when they are simple and from the heart - as they are in this piece. The cello is always especially well-suited to music that is sad, and that is certainly the case here! Edmond created the music to express the feelings of solitude during one very lonely afternoon and says that he hopes it will "help to comfort you if you are going through something similarly emotional." It's a gorgeous piece!
