Review by Kathy Parsons
“Embrace of the Infinite” is a stunning new single by pianist/composer Eric Chapelle. A fully orchestrated symphonic poem, Chapelle has also created a companion video that incorporates images from the Hubble Space Telescope and takes the music to a different dimension - literally as well as figuratively! Set at a very slow tempo that ranges from 34 beats per minute to 40 beats per minute, the pace is very relaxed and soothing, and yet the music is often exciting and dramatic, synching perfectly with the amazing photos that flow from one to the next. The exquisite colors, shapes and movement are jaw-dropping - Eric really did an outstanding job of matching the images to his music!

Eric Chapelle has been known primarily for his original piano music, and “Embrace of the Infinite” has little bits of piano here and there, but it is never in the lead. More ambient than melodic, even without the visuals, this music will soothe your mind and allow you to travel to places real or imagined. With or without the video, this is music that will take you away from our troubled world for a blissful eight minutes - and who couldn’t use a bit more of that?!?

“Embrace of the Infinite” is available from EricChapelleMusic.com, Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify and more. Don’t miss it!
