Review by Kathy Parsons
“Navel - 528 Hz” by Éxtasis (Allan Suseoff, Jr.) is a beautiful and very relaxing single from his upcoming new album. The piece moves at a very leisurely tempo and is much more ambient than melodic. Performed on synths, pads and strings, singing bowls, flute, oboe, bar chimes and field recordings of birds, “Navel - 528 Hz” is part of a chakra series that will become an album - likely in 2026. Two other singles from the album were released is 2022 - “Root: 396 Hz” and “Sacral: 417 Hz.”
The title refers to two things: the navel or solar plexus chakra, which is our “power” chakra and associated with self-esteem, sense of purpose and personal identity. The “528 Hz” part of the title refers to the Solfeggio frequency, which is believed to penetrate the subconscious to help the body repair itself. Binaural beats were also added to the recording to help people relax, sleep and focus. I’ve listened to the piece several times and it really does calm the mind and slow the thought processes as it increases a sense of well-being - and who couldn’t use some more of that?!?!
“Navel - 528 Hz” is available from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes, and on streaming services including Spotify.
