"Rainbow" is the third single from pianist/composer/author/piano technician (and more!) Jeffrey Baker, an artist who is quickly becoming one of my favorites. As was true of Baker's first two singles ("My Heart" and "Anthem," both released in 2024), "Rainbow" was produced by Shambhu and performed by Frank Martin. The piece comes from Baker's collection of children's pieces called Baker's Dozen. The piano stays in the lead for the whole piece, backed by a string ensemble (both bowed and pizzicato). Coming from a children's collection, the music isn't overly-complicated but is expressed with grace and heart - and that's a lot more meaningful than a flurry of notes!
