Review by Kathy Parsons
“Sing Me of Winter” is a charming original single for piano and orchestration by pianist/composer Lisa Swerdlow. Very smooth and relaxing, it is a piece that can be enjoyed year-round despite the winter theme. Orchestrated by Paul Kraushaar, the instrumentation includes strings, xylophone, harp and wind instruments. “Sing Me of Winter” begins as a simple solo piano waltz, adding xylophone to give it a sprinkling of magic. Gradually, more instruments are added as the piano maintains the melody and a gently swirling rhythmic pattern. The last minute or so feels very cinematic with vivid colors and the feeling of a graceful waltz. It’s a beautiful piece!

The single is available from Amazon and iTunes/Apple Music.
