“Never Lose Hope (Reimagined)” is the second single from Matias Bacoñsky’s upcoming album, Life and Death (Reimagined), following “Death of a Dream (Reimagined),” which was released in April 2026. The album is a new version (reimagining) of Matias’ 2016 debut album, Life and Death, which was solo piano. Quoting Matias in a recent interview we did:
“I’ve always had a vision of creating a style of music that combines piano with a full orchestra and choir. However, back when I started, I didn’t have the means to hire orchestral arrangers, so I began by releasing piano-only music. I think Life and Death, my first official album, was a great starting point because it allowed me to express myself in a more minimalistic way, focusing on the emotion that can be conveyed through just a piano.”
As it did in the first single, the piano stays in the lead throughout “Never Lose Hope,” while the strings and voices add depth and a broader range of tonal colors. The concept for this piece is explained in Matias’ promotional materials:
“Between fear and silence, a fragile light remains. A heartbeat, a breath, a subtle sign - enough to keep believing. Even when reason fades, hope refuses to disappear. It becomes the only thing holding you together.”
I also need to mention that the cover artwork for “Never Lose Hope (Reimagined)” is stunning!
“Never Lose Hope (Reimagined)” takes the listener into the depths of the very emotional story and also stands very strongly on it own. It is available to stream and download from Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes as well as on many streaming platforms including Spotify and Pandora. Don’t miss it!
