“Gratitude” is the first single from pianist/composer Michael Gettel’s upcoming (early 2027) album, Hiraeth, and what a beauty it is! In addition to the piano and keyboards, the track includes strong rhythms, electric guitars, percussion, wordless vocals and various ambient sounds. It begins with a simple prelude for the piano and ethereal voices, very gradually increasing the tempo and intensity as it unfolds. Guitars take the lead briefly before the piano returns and the music bursts into full bloom with a big, joyous sound.

Quoting Michael Gettel: “In a season of the year where commercialism infiltrates all our senses, this is a new song for our times. ’Gratitude’ is a call to action to reminisce and celebrate everything we hold dear.”

This is a great reminder any time of year, and I can’t think of a better way to be reminded than with beautiful, soulful music from Michael Gettel!

“Gratitude” will be released on October 16, 2026 and will be available to stream and download on Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes as well as on many streaming platforms including Spotify, Pandora and YouTube. Links will be added as they become available. Very highly recommended!
