"The Road Home" is a fresh new version of the title track from Peter Calandra's 2017 album, this time recorded by Pete Calandra and Straight Up. Pete often has other musicians with him on his Straight Up releases, but this time he plays piano, keyboards, percussion and bass guitar himself. Smooth and easy-going, there is also a feeling of anticipation that runs through the music and seems to build a bit as the piece progresses (and the road gets shorter?). The sound quality of this new single is much clearer than the original album version from eight years ago, so even if you have the album, the single will reveal new elements in the music that are a joy to hear!
