Review by Kathy Parsons
“No Darkness” is a beautiful and very peaceful solo piano single by pianist/composer Suzanne Herman that was inspired by an unforgettable expedition she took to Antarctica at the time of year when there was no darkness. In Suzanne’s own words:

“It was summertime, and continuous light glistened down in various forms from the sky above. Watching the sunset over the Antarctica horizon was extraordinary and breathtaking! The hazy colors of the sky were incomparably different, and darkness never encroached on the snow covered, icy environment. It was truly an unimaginable adventure!”

Very light and graceful, most of the piece is played in the upper half of the piano keyboard, giving it a feeling of lightness and brightness. Played at a very relaxed tempo, it’s one of those pieces of music that make it easy to take a deep breath and slow down - even if only for a few minutes.

“No Darkness” is available to stream and download from Suzanne’s website, Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes. It is also available on many streaming platforms included Spotify and Pandora. Sheet music is also available for “No Darkness” from Suzanne’s website, SheetMusicPlus.com and SheetMusicDirect.com. Both the single and the sheet music get a “both thumbs up” from me!
