"Gentle Soft Rain" is a solo piano arrangement of a classical guitar piece by David Rogers. The original version of the song was included on David's 2010 solo acoustic guitar album, Hummingbird. This arrangement, also by David, is two pages (plus a repeat), in the key of G major, and should be playable for pianists at an intermediate to late-intermediate playing level. There are no reaches of over an octave and the timing is straight-forward and easy to count. The tempo is an easy-going pace and freely expressive, making it very suitable as a teaching piece for piano students at any age.
