Review by Kathy Parsons
Elvis Presley: A Life From Beginning to End is a short but very concise biography of “The King’s” early life, rise to stardom, decline in popularity, and return to stardom only to die at an early age from the effects of drug abuse. Within the confines of the book being readable in about an hour, there is plenty of information and the writer(s) did an admirable job of providing an informative glimpse into Presley’s life. Was a lot of information left out? Of course - it would take a much longer book to do a detailed biography on Elvis’ - or anyone, really - but there is a very good outline here that will tell you enough to know if you want to delve into more detailed reading and/or research about the man who changed the course of pop music and pop culture.

Hourly History’s books cover a very wide range of people and events throughout history and are intended to be read in about an hour. They are excellent for anyone looking for an overview of a subject or to review or information that may have been forgotten. I’ve read several of their books so far and look forward to reading many more.
