Review by Kathy Parsons
Ana Rodriguez's solo piano single, "Dream Fragments," follows her 2019 debut album, El Mago (The Magician) and her 2021 single, "Madness." An award-winning American pianist and composer, Ms Rodriguez has performed in concerts and recitals, both solo and with orchestras, in the US, Europe, Mexico, Honduras, and Canada. She received her Masters Degree in Piano Performance from the Mannes College of Music in New York and is on the faculty at the Miami Dade College North Campus in Florida.

Dreams set to music are often warm and cozy, but much of "Dream Fragments" is very powerful and restless. The various themes that are interwoven throughout the piece are often chaotic and sometimes uncomfortable, contrasting well with those that are more calming and relaxed. Whether she is performing her own compositions or the work of others (usually standard classical literature and the music of Latin America), Ms. Rodriguez's technique is flawless with crystal clarity and a full command of her instrument. "Dream Fragments" is not recommended for inducing sleep, but it's a fascinating work to listen to when wide-awake!

"Dream Fragments" can be streamed or downloaded from Amazon and is available from many streaming sites such as Spotify as well as on YouTube.
