Review by Kathy Parsons
“November Skies” is the first single from the forthcoming second album from pianist/composer Darla Bower. The piece is especially meaningful to Darla because of her love for the fall season and her favorite month is November. She describes this piano solo: “The piece reminds me of all the beautiful skies in Texas and Colorado during November; sunsets, falling leaves and crisp autumn days.” Slow and relaxed with an easy rhythmic motion, I think most listeners will be reminded of places that give them inner peace and will be transported there via a sweet and tranquil memory while listening to this music. What a a lovely (and much-needed!) gift to the world! The cover photo is of a sunset over Moraine Meadow in the Rocky Mountain National Park and was taken by Darla’s husband. “November Skies” is available from Amazon, iTunes and CD Baby. I can’t wait to hear what’s next!
