Review by Kathy Parsons
Since retiring from his “day job” and becoming a full-time composer/musician, Eric Chapelle has released an eclectic group of singles, including his most recent one, “Paper Flags and the Wind.” Eric originally wrote this piece in about 2009 and posted it with a video on YouTube back then. He recently revisited the video and the music resonated with him, so he decided to remix the piece and re-release it with a few changes. The piano is the primary instrument, but there are some interesting percussion rhythms as well as synth instrumentation and sound effects that give it a more “world music” feeling. At just under 1 1/2 minutes, it’s a perfect little musical nugget!

“Paper Flags and the Wind” is available to stream or buy from Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify and others.
