Review by Kathy Parsons
Guitarist/composer (and a whole lot more!) Eric Tingstad is possibly best-known as half of the guitar and double reeds duo, Tingstad and Rumbel with Nancy Rumbel. Exceptionally well-versed in a variety of musical styles, Tingstad has released an impressive number of solo albums over the years as well. His single, “Tenderness,” an acoustic guitar solo, returns to the calmer, more relaxing “new age” genre, and what a beauty it is! The gently flowing rolling chord accompaniment is the perfect support for the slow, dreamy melody. The video for the song shows footage of fragile spring flowers, a peaceful walk in nature, a playful pup, and many other images that evoke feelings of tenderness - not just romance. Be sure to check it out on YouTube!

“Tenderness” is available from Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music and CD Baby as well as many streaming sites.
