Review by Kathy Parsons
Carried By The Wind is an EP of six original electric guitar solos by Igor Lisul. Smooth, relaxed and uplifting, this is music for the quieter moments in life when the beauty of the music can be fully appreciated. Igor is a self-taught left-handed guitarist from Kikinda, Serbia who has been playing and creating music since childhood. He has released a very impressive number of albums, EPs and singles since he released his first album, Pages of Our Lives, in 2020, and has also published an e-book, Guitar Ballads, as well as his first guitar soloing course, School of Rock, as both an e-book and a paperback.

Quoting Igor’s website: “His guitar sings about love, peace, soul, friendship, nature and other beautiful things that heart can feel, imagine and see.”

Carried By The Wind begins with “Happy Clock,” a warm and gentle piece sure to bring a smile. Like time itself, in most of the piece, the tempo moves along fairly quickly and then gradually slows. “Happy Ending” has a somewhat bittersweet feeling, as many happy endings do. Simple, honest and from the heart, this is my favorite track of the six. “Tears of Joy” feels a bit more introspective - soul-searching set to music. “Wish” also seems to be looking within and perhaps day-dreaming on a sunny afternoon. “Along The Road” has a relaxed walking pace, perhaps enjoying being outside and exploring things missed while driving that same road. Igor saved the title track for the last. A little bit brighter in tempo, to me it expresses freedom and the joy that can be found in the simpler things in life.

Carried By The Wind EP is available to download and stream on Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes and Bandcamp. It is also on many streaming platforms including Spotify and Pandora. Check it out!
