Review by Kathy Parsons
"Rise Again" is the first single from Argentinian composer Matias Bacoñsky's upcoming album, New World, which is scheduled for release in January 2025. It is the third album in the series that began in 2018 with When The World Ends followed by Epochal in 2021. Like those previous albums, "Rise Again" is fully orchestrated along with piano and choral voices. Big, dynamic and very powerful, it makes me even more anxious to hear the rest of New World!

In a nutshell, When The World Ends tells the story of a man living at the end of the world surrounded by his loved ones, hoping that they will be able to find each other in their next life. In Epochal, the man has survived the apocalypse and is searching for other survivors while trying to understand why he survived. By the end of that album, the man has been reunited with his wife. "Rise Again" captures a pivotal and emotional moment in their story and serves as a tantalizing preview. The mix of emotions expressed in the music promises lots of plot twists and an emotional roller coaster!

"Rise Again" is available from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes and streaming platforms including Spotify.
