“Broadway” is a single release by Matt Johnson. A lovely piano solo with some dreamy, atmospheric reverb, Johnson describes it as: “Unspoken yearnings set the stage for fingers to sing and dance across the keys.” Those feelings of longing for what could be an impossible dream come through each note with heartfelt expression. Some of the rhythms are of a freer jazz nature, contributing to the poignant quality of the music.

Sheet music for “Broadway” is also available from Matt’s site and includes chord charts in addition to the piano score. Some of the timing is a little tricky, but I would put this piece at an early-advanced level. Johnson mentions in his introductory notes that notes can be added and subtracted as needed. The sheet music is six pages.
