"Open Doors" is the fourth single pianist/composer Michael Dulin has released this year, and it's so great to have him and his music back in action after a very long hiatus! This piece features an orchestra and choral voices rather than solo piano, and the music really soars! It begins quietly with piano and cello as well as some light strings in the background creating a dreamy, peaceful mood. It gradually builds in both instrumentation and intensity, and then comes to an abrupt end that I interpret as the doors opening fully, leading to freedom, happiness and dreams-come-true. It's a beautiful piece and I can't wait to hear Michael's upcoming new album in early 2025!
