"Cloud Dreams" is one of those wonderful piano solos that immediately slow you down and cause you to take a deep breath. The first of two singles to be released by pianist/composer Peter Calandra in July 2022, the music suggests the graceful, free-flowing motion of wispy clouds moving effortlessly across a blue sky as if in a dream. Is the cloud dreaming or is the listener dreaming of clouds? Does it matter? Not when the music is this beautiful and makes you feel as relaxed and peaceful as this piece does! Most of the music is on the ambient side, with a few passages that are more melodic, suggesting the freedom of improvisation. Ahhhhhhh!
