Review by Kathy Parsons
"Kingston" is the latest in a continuing series of singles by composer/pianist/keyboardist Peter Calandra. An electronic piece that is more ambient than melodic, "Kingston" is also very rhythmic and atmospheric - a really interesting combination! Peter has a more-than-impressive command of a broad range of music genres and often blazes his own trails - something I truly admire and appreciate! This piece is a bit mysterious and makes me think of an (almost) deserted street on a rainy night. Relaxed yet spirited, I love the contrasting sounds and musical colors!

It is interesting to note that on October 15, 2022, Peter Calandra will have released at least two singles a month for a year. (Several months have included additional singles of a jazzier nature as Pete Calandra and Straight Up - this past month was one! If you haven't heard any of those, be sure to check them out!)

"Kingston" is available from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes and various streaming sites including Spotify. Highly recommended!
