Review by Kathy Parsons
"Morning In The City" is one of a continuing series of solo piano singles by Peter Calandra that are being released every two weeks until the series is complete. An artist who is fluent in many music genres, Peter's "Morning In The City" is more jazz than ambient or new age, but it doesn't fit squarely into any "box" or category. It is musical interpretation of an experience and the feelings that go with it rather than an example of any particular style or formula. Peter has the playing chops to do or express anything he wants at the piano keyboard and this piece is an elegant and very beautiful example of that. It begins in a quiet, relaxed style that very gradually becomes more energized and flowing. Peter's flawless runs up the piano keyboard could signify the rising sun (or a caffeine surge!) while the more peaceful passages suggest the calm and stillness of a new day. It's a beauty!

"Morning In The City" is available to stream or download from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes as well as from various streaming sites including Spotify.
