"Spirit" is the second single (following "Night Sky") from Peter Calandra's upcoming solo piano album, which will be released in March of 2024. There are some atmospheric keyboard washes in the background of this beautiful piece, but otherwise it is just Peter and his piano creating musical magic, as he does so well! The piece begins with the low-pitched ambient keyboard drone behind Peter playing the primary theme of the piece without any embellishments - very open and peaceful. After that, the music feels more improvised, allowing the "Spirit" to fly freely with an uplifting expression of joy and contentment. If the rest of Peter's new album is as good as the first two singles, we are in for a real treat in March!
