Review by Kathy Parsons
“When Rivers Met The Sky” is a beautiful single from pianist/composer Peter Calandra. The piece was an improvisation that Peter did after learning that his friend, artist Larry Rivers, had passed away in August 2002. Sometime later, Peter had Kermit Driscoll overdub the acoustic bass. The result is a soulful tribute and an emotional “goodbye” to someone special. As is often true with Peter’s music, it is nearly impossible to put this piece into a single genre or category (I love that!). Warmly melodic with the freedom of improvisation and the grace of deep emotion, it’s a soothing escape from all of the craziness of life these days - at least for a few minutes!

“When Rivers Met The Sky” is available to stream and download from Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes as well as on many streaming platforms including Spotify and Pandora. Very highly recommended!
