“Penguin Parade” is a beautiful solo piano single from pianist/composer Suzanne Herman. The music was inspired by an expedition Suzanne took to Antarctica where she was able to watch the penguins in their natural environment. Quoting Suzanne:

“The penguins were both elegant and playful. They waddled one by one across the ice and snow. It was mesmerizing! Diving in and out of the water, they always seemed to have a smile on their penguin faces….Watching them was like encountering a penguin parade!”

I think it is especially interesting that Suzanne was able to capture feelings of both grace and lighthearted playfulness in the music.

The single is available to download and/or stream on Suzanne’s website as well as Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes. It can be played on streaming platforms including Spotify and Pandora. Sheet music is also available for the piece. Highly recommended!
