Review by Kathy Parsons
"Horizon" is an incredibly beautiful and heartfelt solo piano single from pianist/composer, Zsolt Pataki. Born in Hungary and now living in Germany, Zsolt and his music were introduced to me earlier this year by Dan Chadburn and Tom Nichols - and I'm SO glad they reached out!! A life-long musician, this in the third single Zsolt has released this year, along with his debut album, Safe In the Storm. His music is wonderfully expressive and comes from the heart, communicating far more than words ever could. Zsolt explained the origins of this piece:

"I actually composed this piece back in 2020, during the Covid 19 epidemic, but I only published it officially for the first time. So the inspiration was given by the fact that during the epidemic there was a great deal of uncertainty in all of us, because our usual everyday life had completely changed and we did not see how long this state would last and what further changes or consequences we would have to face. In other words, we can also say that 'we can't see beyond the horizon.' Fortunately, things have settled down and we have returned to our normal lives, but when I play this piece it always reminds me that things can change at any time and we have to step out of our comfort zone again..."

"Horizon" can be streamed or downloaded from Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes, and is also available on many streaming sites including Spotify. Don't miss it!
