Review by Kathy Parsons
"Passing" is a gorgeous solo piano single by Zsolt Pataki, an artist who is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. Born in Hungary and living in Germany, Zsolt proves over and over again that music is the universal language, expressing deep emotions that we can all relate to and identify with. Zsolt described the origins of this heartfelt piece:

"I had a hard time processing the loss of my mother when I was 28. 13 years have passed since then and I think the absence and pain will never go away - at best you can learn to live with it....  My piece, 'Passing,' was inspired by the loss of my mother, but it is actually for all people who have experienced a similar loss.  So it's a piano piece about passing, farewell, loss."

The beautiful melody is simple and deeply heartfelt, and the left hand in the lower bass of the piano expresses feelings of darkness and sadness. Very personal yet universal in its honesty and humanity, I give "Passing" my highest recommendation. It is available from Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes and streaming platforms including Spotify. Don't miss it!
