"She Carries Her Own Light" is a beautiful solo piano single by Spanish composer/pianist Alejandro Clavijo, founder of the Reviews New Age website. Alejandro and I have been online friends for quite a few years, but I didn't know until recently that he even plays the piano, let alone that he is a composer, too! Sometimes a discovery like that can bring disappointment, but that is certainly not the case here! Inspired by Alejandro's wife, Yolanda, the piece is a lovely reminder to "keep close the person who radiates light, who brings out the best in you. It can be hard to find, but if you’re lucky and she’s/he’s already by your side, take care of her/him." Wise words, and the music is very warm and melodic with a gentle flow that comes from the heart. Some of Alejandro's singles have been recorded on felted pianos, but this one is not, and the piano really sings! I'm really looking forward to hearing more of Alejandro's music!
