Liquid Mind XV - In the Love is the fifteenth studio album (plus three compilations) from Liquid Mind, aka Chuck Wild. Appropriately released on Valentine's Day, this album offers close to an hour of some of the most soothing and relaxing music I've heard since, well, Liquid Mind XIV! A lifelong musician, Emmy-nominated songwriter, and producer, Wild has worn many musical hats during his long career, and it is fascinating to note that he started composing his new age/ambient music in the late 1980s as a form of personal therapy during a particularly stressful time in his life. He released his first album, Ambience Miminus, in 1994.

Quoting Chuck Wild: “I originally wrote the music of Liquid Mind to be of service to myself, my friends, and my family in dealing with the anxiety & stress of working long hours in our 'information overload' world, and also for friends and family dealing with the stress of life-threatening illnesses like cancer & HIV. When I discovered that this music was effective in helping to relax while recovering from my own anxiety and panic attacks, I decided in 1993 to release the music to the public. The soothing and calming Liquid Mind albums seem to have an immediate 'slowing down' effect on many listeners, and may also help folks of all ages (and their pets) get to sleep, and relax deeply after a tension-filled day.”

While Chuck Wild makes no health claims whatsoever for the Liquid Mind music, the liner notes of the album include this warning: "May cause drowsiness, use care when operating vehicles or dangerous machinery." Good advice!

Again quoting Chuck Wild with some thoughts about this album: "In my experience, love can come from many places and in unexpected ways… through acts of kindness, meaningful relationships with family, family of choice and friends, being of service to others, finding peace within ourselves though meditation and prayer, self introspection and examination, and through meaningful work in our careers… the list is endless if I open myself to expressing and receiving love. With so many options, one need never be deprived of love."

Three of the seven tracks on the album, "Gratitude," "Soul Whispers," and "Sanctuary," have also been released as singles in a shortened "radio edit" format. The tracks range from 4 1/2 to a little over 11 minutes, allowing plenty of time for the music to work its soothing and peaceful magic without any interruptions. “The ultimate compliment to me is that people fall asleep to my music. Liquid Mind is functional music, assisting us to be tranquil at those times when that may not be easy.” Perfect timing, right?

Liquid Mind XV - In the Love is available as a CD and digitally on Amazon, to stream and download on Apple Music/iTunes, and on all major streaming platforms including Spotify and Pandora. It's a very refreshing and uplifting hour of ambient musical bliss!
