Most of the singles that pianist/composer/keyboardist Peter Calandra has released this year have been solo piano, but "Peaceful Sunrise" is fully orchestrated - and what an incredible piece of music it is! Choral voices (no lyrics) and acoustic guitar add their own gentle touches to this piece (peace!) of musical serenity. The strings evoke images of the shimmering colors of dawn when much of the world is very still and hopeful about the day to come. Musical warmth and tranquility pour from every note of this beautiful piece and I will definitely remember "Peaceful Sunrise" whenever I need a little lift or a 5-minute escape. Sooooo relaxing!
