“Where the Soft Winds Hold You” is another stellar single from Peter Calandra’s upcoming album, The Stillness Between. As the title suggests, the piece is soft and soothing with strings, bass and light percussion behind the piano and keyboards. The mid-section of the piece picks up the tempo a bit, as does the ending, but the overall feeling is warm and dreamy. The music would be a wonderful soundtrack for visuals of a sunny breeze rippling through a vast field or meadow or even graceful swans gliding on a pond, blissfully at peace. In the meantime, it’s short, soothing respite from the current crazy state of the world. Can’t wait for the full album to escape into!
